Classes
Ballet technique classes
Our ballet technique classes give students an opportunity to participate in open classes that focus on the foundations of classical ballet technique.
Technical elements such as posture, weight placement, coordination, line and dynamics are discussed and explored, as well as musicality and performance. Exploration of ballet vocabulary and terminology is also a focal point in these classes.
Students learn to apply the foundations, elements and vocabulary of classical ballet to basic exercises, and to more complex combinations.
Please contact us to find out what level of classes your child can attend.
Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus Exam Classes
We offer examination syllabus classes for students wanting to work towards and complete a Royal Academy of Dance Examination. Students work through the RAD syllabus, focusing on technique, musicality and performance, as well as character dance (Russian, Hungarian, Polish etc.) as part of the RAD syllabus.
Our teachers are registered RAD teachers and have an in-depth knowledge of the RAD syllabus.
Examinations are conducted by an examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance.
In order to adequately prepare for and complete an RAD examination, students and families must be willing to commit to class attendance requirements (minimum 80% attendance per term for all classes).
Whilst we understand that illness and family emergencies are sometimes unavoidable, we ask that you please consider whether events such as family holidays and other extra-curricular activities/functions will impact your ability to commit. Please do not enrol in an examination class if you know that these types of activities will take precedence over attendance. A once-a-week technique class would be a better alternative.
*Students who are attending syllabus exam classes must also be attending the technique class of their level.
